JD King’s life is anchored by three guiding pillars: faith, family, and philanthropy. Raised in the world of faith-based ministry, JD grew up watching his father’s nonprofit, Deaf Missions (www.deafmissions.com ), share the Gospel with Deaf people around the globe. Through this early exposure—and later through his role as Marketing Director for Deaf Missions—JD became acutely aware of the immense barriers facing millions of Deaf children living in poverty, many of whom are deprived of sign language, basic communication, and education. In response to this urgent need, JD founded Deaf Child Hope International (www.deafchildhope.org ) in 2010. Since then, he has devoted his life to bringing hope, dignity, and opportunity to Deaf children in underserved communities around the world. With nearly four decades of nonprofit leadership experience, JD’s journey has spanned church youth and worship ministry, nonprofit business management, development leadership, conference direction, and ultimately, executive leadership. He honed his skills in large-scale leadership and event planning as Director of Lifest (www.lifest.com ), a Wisconsin-based Christian music festival known as a “Party With a Purpose,” which has grown into the largest Christian music festival in the nation. Today, JD focuses his energy on raising awareness and advocating for Deaf children living in poverty worldwide. He speaks at churches, conferences, festivals, schools, community gatherings, and on podcasts, sharing both the challenges and the hope surrounding Deaf education and access to sign language. Through Deaf Child Hope, children are currently being served in 11 countries.
